As part of its mission to assist in living faith and spirituality at the University, the Caplaincy at the headquarters of Católica prepares and celebrates the sacraments.

The Chaplain celebrates Mass at 1pm, Monday to Friday, and holds confessions from 12 noon to 1pm, Tuesday to Friday.

In addition to these services, the Chaplain also provides a space for conversations, at a time to be arranged with him.

This service is responsible for the procurement of all the administrative material needed for the proper functioning of the Academic Units and Services of the University.

This service is responsible for the interface between the Universidade Católica and its partner banking entity, Caixa Geral de Depósitos, which controls the processes related to the identification cards of the entire academic community.

In this space, students, professors, researchers and employees of the University can request a new UCP card, renew their card, issue it in case of loss and activate extra functionalities.

The RUF provides accommodation to all higher education female students, from all the Universities of the city of Lisbon, giving priority to students enrolled at Universidade Católica.

The Residence is governed by the guiding principles of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa and only accepts applications from female students. Applications can be made throughout the year, but spots are allocated in July. However, the Residence allocates spots whenever there are places available, as is often the case, for example, at the change of semester.

Aware of the challenges of adapting students to higher education, as well as the growing dropout rate in the first year of a degree, the Faculty of Human Sciences created the PROTEUS Office - Promoting Success in University.

The PROTEUS Office aims to support the academic career of UCP students by implementing a set of mechanisms to promote their success, favouring their transition, integration and adaptation to this level of education.
PROTEUS is based at the headquarters of Católica, in Lisbon, and provides individual, confidential and free support to students in various situations of adaptation to higher education.


This project was funded by the Directorate-General for Higher Education in the 2023/2024 academic year.
