Information Systems Directorate - DSI

The DSI is the department responsible for managing the information and audiovisual systems at the headquarters (Lisbon Campus and RUF) of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa.

This department is made up of administrative staff with extensive teaching experience, in order to guarantee the adequacy and synergy between the technical resources and the teaching provided by the University. In the approximately 1,500 square metres of space occupied by IT, the University offers classrooms equipped with computer equipment and audiovisuals, as well as open work spaces, one of which can be accessed 24 hours a day and is equipped with computers, a scanner and a CD recorder.

These open spaces are specially furnished to offer students the best conditions for carrying out group work. Each student has a personal work area on one of the computer servers as well as a personal e-mail address. The DSI's computer park consists of around 800 personal computers, 60 servers and 20 public printers. All the computers made available to students have permanent access to the Internet via a dedicated line.
