Students from the Católica Medical School receive excellence awards
On the last 21st of November, students of the Católica Medical School (CMS) of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) were rewarded for their academic results at the award ceremony, at the Sintra campus.
The Director of the CMS, António Medina de Almeida, delivered the Professor Eduardo Coelho Prize, awarded for the excellence of the results obtained in the first year of the degree, to the student Carolina Carvalho.
Meanwhile, Martim Oliveira and Sofia Bernardes took the stage to receive the Bayer Merit Scholarship from Marco Dietrich, the pharmaceutical company's general director in Portugal. These scholarships aim to support exceptional medical students and foster the relationship between the UCP and the German pharmaceutical company.
Susana Galvão awarded two merit scholarships on behalf of the Santander Foundation. The students awarded were Francisco Afonso for his voluntary work and Laura Portillo for the excellent results obtained in mini-interviews.
