FCH-Católica welcomes 300 new Master's and Doctoral students

The opening session of the 2022/2023 academic year of the Master's and Doctoral programs took place on September 12 at the Faculty of Human Sciences of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa.

After a tour of the UCP campus, the welcome session began at the Cardeal Medeiros Auditorium, where around 300 new students were welcomed.

“This year we received students from 56 different countries, from Europe and Asia. North Africa and Middle East, Americas and Oceania. This reflects our vision of being a global Faculty in which, regardless of their culture and geography of origin, students can share their ideas and expand their horizons through a greater knowledge of the Other" says Professor Nelson Ribeiro, Director of FCH.

The session was attended by welcoming words from Professor Nelson Ribeiro, Director of FCH, Professor Alexandra Lopes, Deputy Director of FCH and Guest Speaker and Professor Peter Hanenberg, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation at UCP.

At the end of the session, the new students had a meeting with the course coordinators, followed by a cocktail.
