Católica Medical Seminar with Joaquim Alves da Silva

Católica Medical School organises a seminar with Joaquim Alves da Silva as keynote speaker, hosted by Ester Coutinho, on 13 April.

This session will discuss the topic "Bridging fundamental neuroscience and clinical research to understand how dysfunctional circuits lead to movement disorders symptoms".

Joaquim Alves da Silva is a medical doctor specialized in psychiatry and a neuroscientist. He works in the Champalimaud research program where he leads the Neural Circuits Dysfunction group, which is a research group focused on understanding how brain circuits dysfunction leads to movement disorders symptoms. He is also a professor of Fundamental Neuroscience at Nova Medical School, UNL.
