10th edition of the Summit of Democracies

The Institute for Political Studies (IEP) of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa organises the 10th edition of the IEP Open Day - Summit of Democracies.

The event, this year dedicated to the theme "How to rebuild consensus in democracy", will take place on 19 April.

João Pereira Coutinho, IEP professor and columnist for the Folha de São Paulo newspaper, is the guest speaker at the Opening Conference, which also counts on the interventions of José Manuel Durão Barroso, Director of the Centre for European Studies, UCP, João Carlos Espada, Director of the Institute, Mónica Dias, Katalin Gönczy, Public Relations Officer of the European Parliament Office in Portugal. The President of the Universidade Católica, Isabel Capeloa Gil, will close the opening session.
