CATÓLICA-LISBON's student is distinguished with a prize from the Bank of Portugal

Martim Leitão, a graduate of the Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics, received the José da Silva Lopes Prize, awarded by the Bank of Portugal for his Master's dissertation in Economics "And Yet, They Last: The Employment".

In addition to this work, the prestigious award, which highlights the best master's theses in the area of Economics, selected three more dissertations by students from CATÓLICA-LISBON. In total, there are four theses from Católica among the five best in the country.

For Martim Leitão, it is "very gratifying to have recognized research that can improve our understanding of how crises spread through an economy. This line of research can also contribute to a better design of public policies and dramatically affect people's well-being."

The Master in Economics added that this distinction "represents the culmination of an intense journey of learning and evolution", thanking the support of family, friends, advisors and the community of CATÓLICA-LISBON.
