School Insurance

Universidade Católica has subscribed with Fidelidade - Companhia de Seguros, S.A. a School Insurance for all students enrolled and registered at the headquarters of the University in Lisbon, whether they are attending classes in Portugal or doing Erasmus or other mobility abroad.

The School Insurance is paid at the time of the annual enrolment.

This insurance covers accidents (not diseases) occurring during:

• the school activity itself;
• the internships that are part of the curricular plan of the various existing courses;
• extracurricular internships organised by Units, Faculties and Institutes;
• practice of sports on behalf of the University, excluding: 

        -Motor sports;
        -Winter sports;
        -Boxing, karate or other martial arts;
        -Bullfighting

ES65489528 which covers all the students from all the courses  in the Lisbon campus

ES65421957 that covers all the students from all courses  of the Lisbon campus who are doing an internship or studying abroad (Erasmus students)

Coverages
 

In case of accidente

Serious Accidents: The injured person must be taken to the nearest hospital.

Other accidents: The injured party may resort to any public or private health facility.

Accident Communication

The accident must be reported to the Academic Services as soon as possible, according to the following procedure:

• print the Accident Report and fill it out;
• attach a detailed medical report. If the accident occurs abroad, the medical report should preferably be in English;
• deliver to the Academic Services (Library Building, Floor 0) the completed form and the medical report, together with the originals of the expenses incurred;
• Reimbursement of expenses resulting from the accident is made directly by Fidelidade to the student.
