Students and Social Responsibility Office organise lecture on "Stress Management and Well-Being and its relation to Sleep"

"It is extraordinary to witness the mobilisation of students, in this case, the Students' Association of the Faculty of Human Sciences, for the development of initiatives aimed at the common good", said Rita Paiva e Pona, about the lecture "Stress Management and Well-Being and its Relation to Sleep", which took place on March 23rd, at the headquarters of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, in Lisbon.

This first meeting, of a series of lectures, was attended by about 25 students. Rita Francisco and Cátia Reis, Faculty of Human Sciences (FCH) professors, were the guest speakers. The debate was moderated by Inês Gandarez, vice president of the Board of Directors of the FCH Students' Association (AEFCH).

The lecture was organised by AEFCH, with the support of the Social Responsibility Office, and mainly aimed at higher education students.

"This event is the result of the various synergies created in the academic community around the issue of mental health. The Social Responsibility Office has developed a close relationship with the student associations, creating a space for developing several projects in partnership", explains Rita Paiva e Pona, coordinator of the Social Responsibility Office.

The organisation of awareness-raising and prevention meetings has been worked on within the framework of the Católica Mental Health Service, which was launched on 10 October 2022.
