The former student, currently a journalist at Renascença, received an Honourable Mention with the report "Prison: a stain that does not leave the curriculum".
At the award ceremony, the general director of Renascença, Pedro Leal, pointed out the young journalist as "one of the good things" of the radio hires.
With the award in hand, Tomás Anjinho Chagas presented himself as a journalist who was born in the time of "fast" journalism, having learned from one of the editors of Renascença to "choose well, not fast".
The Young Journalism Award was launched by Renascença and Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa in 2022 with the aim of bringing to the reflection of society the difficulties and future prospects facing the younger generations.
