Research work by Católica student is published in the Público newspaper

The journalistic work of Afonso Santos, student of the Faculty of Human Sciences, entitled "Goalball, a sport in search of a boost" was published in the online edition of the Público newspaper.

The student of the Catholic University developed the investigation within the scope of the subject Sports Journalism of the Degree in Social and Cultural Communication.

His study focused on the goalball World Cup, held for the first time in Portugal in 2022.

Católica researchers receive award for "Scientific Research in Military Sciences"

Rita Francisco and Renato Pessoa dos Santos, Researchers from the CRC-W (Católica Research Centre for Psychological, Family and Social Wellbeing), of the Faculty of Human Sciences, were distinguished by the Instituto Universitário Militar with the "Scientific Research in Military Sciences" award in the area of "Human Behaviour and Health in a Military Context".

The Instituto Universitário Militar  in a ceremony held last December 7, awarded the prize to the two UCP researchers for the publication of the scientific article: Santos, R.P., Francisco, R., & Ribeiro, M.T. (2022). Deployment risk and resilience model applied to military children. Europe’s Journal of Psychology, 18(2), 219–234.

This was the third time that researchers Rita Francisco and Renato Pessoa dos Santos received this award, 2022, 2021 and 2018.

 

 

Post-Graduate Communication and Positive Psychology students visit Nestlé

The students of the 4th edition of the Post-Graduation in Communication and Positive Psychology: Contributions for Well-Being in Organizations, of the Faculty of Human Sciences, made a study visit to Nestlé - an organization reputed as an example of good practices for the well-being of employees.

The visit to the company "proved to be a relevant case study to learn about organisational contributions to employee well-being and good internal communication practices", says the programme's executive coordinator, Leonor Almeida

Applications for the next edition of the Postgraduate Diploma in Communication and Positive Psychology are open until 14 October.

FCH-Católica lança formação avançada em Audiovisual para dar resposta às exigências do mercado nacional e internacional

A Escola de Pós-Graduação e Formação Avançada (EPGFA), da Faculdade de Ciências Humanas da Universidade Católica Portuguesa, acaba de lançar uma nova edição de uma formação avançada para profissionais do sector da comunicação.

“Audiovisual: Produção, Distribuição e Consumos” tem início a 14 de abril e aborda os métodos de implementação, desenvolvimento e avaliação das estratégias de gestão, produção e programação das plataformas de conteúdos audiovisuais.

Young Journalism Award distinguishes a former student of the Undergraduate Program in Communication and Cultural Sciences from F

Tomás Anjinho Chagas, former student of the Degree in Communication and Cultural Sciences from FCH, was one of the journalists awarded in the first edition of the Young Journalism Prize, attributed by Renascença and Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa. Learn more here.

The former student, currently a journalist at Renascença, received an Honourable Mention with the report "Prison: a stain that does not leave the curriculum".

At the award ceremony, the general director of Renascença, Pedro Leal, pointed out the young journalist as "one of the good things" of the radio hires.

With the award in hand, Tomás Anjinho Chagas presented himself as a journalist who was born in the time of "fast" journalism, having learned from one of the editors of Renascença to "choose well, not fast".

The Young Journalism Award was launched by Renascença and Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa in 2022 with the aim of bringing to the reflection of society the difficulties and future prospects facing the younger generations.

Communication and Cultural Sciences Alumna distinguished at the "Prémio Jornalismo em Saúde"

Cláudia Godinho, alumna of the Degree in Communication and Cultural Sciences of the Faculty of Human Sciences, Universidade Católica, was distinguished in the radio category of the APIFARMA/ Journalists Club - "Prémio Jornalismo em Saúde" with the journalistic work “Redução de Danos: Entre a droga e a vida”. 

The APIFARMA/ Journalists' Club Award - Journalism in Health results from a protocol signed between the two entities in order to deepen APIFARMA's role as an active partner of Civil Society and also to contribute to the vitality of the Journalists' Club project.
