The second session of the UCP4SUCCESS webinar cycle for professors: ‘Educating for Sustainability: Building Competences for Active Citizenship’, will take place on 22 January between 2pm and 3pm. 

In this webinar, Cristina Palmeirão will address the issue of sustainability and the role of education in developing essential competences for active citizenship.

The session aims to invite reflection on how teachers can integrate sustainable practices into curriculum, encouraging students to get involved with environmental and social issues. Innovative methodologies and good practices will be shared to inspire transformative education, capable of promoting a more conscious and responsible society.

On 8 January, Universidade Católica closes the UCP4SUCCESS webinar cycle with the webinar ‘Uncomplicating University: From time management to academic success.’ 

The purpose of this webinar is to explore and apply practical strategies for better time management, balancing different roles in life and overcoming procrastination, fundamental aspects for a successful adaptation to higher education.

Integrated into the UCP4SUCCESS webinar cycle at Universidade Católica Portuguesa, this session also aims to promote academic success and adaptation. 

Free and open to all Universidade Católica students, the webinar is aimed in particular at students entering higher education for the first time.

The first session of the 2nd cycle of UCP4SUCCESS webinars for students: “How is my career path enriched at university?” will take place on February 26, from 4pm to 5pm. 

In this webinar, Íris Martins Oliveira and Ângela Sá Azevedo will reflect on how life history allows us to understand career decisions; how university contributes to promoting essential skills, outlining and achieving personal and professional goals, allowing us to reconcile different life roles.

UCP4SUCCESS has launched a new Cycle of Webinars, especially aimed at professors who teach 1st year undergraduates.

The first session is entitled: ‘How to Promote Active Learning with 1st Year Undergraduates? Strategies for a Promising Start’ and will take place on 11 December between 2pm and 3pm. 

In this webinar, Rita Tavares, from CLIL | Católica Learning Innovation Lab, will discuss the concept of Active Learning in a continuum, and what this implies for the student, helping professors maximise the success of learning in students' academic lives.

It will also analyse the characteristics of the ‘ideal student’ and present strategies for a promising start, with a focus on pedagogical practices that favour success from the first steps in higher education.
