CATÓLICA-LISBON is on its way to the Grand Final of the L'Oreal Brandstorm in Paris

After winning L'Oréal's Iberian Brandstorm competition in March 2023, CATÓLICA-LISBON Portuguese team The Minions can now rejoice once again at having entered the international phase of the competition. The students were selected among 40 other teams worldwide and are now among the top 10 teams that will travel to Paris for the final round!

Jessy Reichardt, Mathilda Widerberg and Kiara Kristin Petri, a team called The Minions, will now represent Portugal at the grand final in Paris. They are between 24 and 25 years old and study MSc in Management with specialization in Strategic Marketing at CATÓLICA-LISBON. The project presented by the group of students was developed for the makeup brand NYX, with the presentation of a virtual makeup artist with artificial intelligence (AI) that develops personalized makeup tutorials and product recommendations based on the desires and individual characteristics of the person.

The team of CATOLICA-LISBON is being mentored by professor Kyryl Lakishyk, the Academic Director of Master Programs in Management: “Participating in competitions like L’Oréal Brandstorm is a very important feature of our Master programs, and particularly for the Strategic Marketing specialization,” said the academic director. “Apart from training our students in a very practical sense during their masters experience, the competition is one of many opportunities in which international companies like L’Oréal have access to the human talent we nurture in CATOLICA-LISBON Master Programs”.

Recall that L'Oréal's Brandstorm contest aims to find young talent in the field of beauty innovation. For this year's contest, the various participants had to come up with a disruptive project and were challenged to reinvent the future of beauty using the latest Web 3.0 innovations: Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Artificial Intelligence, Gaming, Metaverse and NFTs.
