On March 1st, at 4:30pm, the Faculty of Human Sciences invites Paul Weithman - University of Notre Dame (USA) - for an OpenClass on "Stability and Equilibrium in Political Liberalism". 

Moderated by Michael Baum (PPE, FCH-UCP), this session is part of the "Intersecting Philosophy, Politics and Economics" cycle, open to the entire academic community.

The Faculty of Human Sciences organises another edition of MyCareer, under the theme Building meaningful careers, an event that aims to promote the connection between college students and the labour market, next 14 March.

Through an inaugural conference, two round tables and a set of workshops led by renowned experts, the importance of building a meaningful career will be addressed.

The event will start at 10 a.m. with the Opening Session that will count with the presence of Isabel Vasconcelos, Vice-Rector of UCP, Inês Bolinhas (Member of the Board of Directors of FCH) and Joana Carneiro Pinto (Coordinator of the Careers Office).

The School of Postgraduate Studies and Advanced Training of the Faculty of Human Sciences is holding, as part of the launch of the 3rd edition of Advanced Training in Audiovisual: Production, Distribution and Consumption, a webinar with the theme "Sustainability in Audiovisual: Environment, Inclusion and Parity".

The Webinar will take place on January 26th at 6pm and has as guest speakers Dörte Schneider (Green Consultant), Francisco Miguel (Director of General Services at SP Televisão), Mariana Liz (Assistant Professor in Film Studies at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon) and Nuno Conde (Administrator of SIC) and will be moderated by the Coordinator of Advanced Training, Catarina Duff Burnay.

On February 15th, at 5:00 pm, the FCH OpenSession for the Master in Communication Studies will take place online.

The OpenSession consists of a session in which the Master's program starting in September 2023 will be presented. Those interested should register for this session where they can clarify all their doubts.

On May 24, at 2:30 pm, the Faculty of Human Sciences invites Professor Vítor Gaspar, Director of the Fiscal Affairs Department, for an open lecture on "Economics and Politics: from The New Economics to The Great Inflation".

Professor Vítor Gaspar is Director of the Fiscal Affairs Department at the IMF. Before that, he was Portuguese Minister of State and Finance from 2011–13 and has held various positions in European and Portuguese institutions, including head of BEPA at the European Commission, director-general of research at the European Central Bank, director of Economic Studies and Statistics at the Central Bank of Portugal, and Director of Economic Studies at the Portuguese Ministry of Finance.

As part of the "Intersecting Philosophy, Politics and Economics" cycle, this session is open to the entire academic community.
