Observatório das ODS nas empresas portuguesas da Católica-Lisbon distinguido pela ONU como uma das 25 melhores práticas a nível

O Observatório dos Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS) nas empresas portuguesas da Católica-Lisbon foi distinguido pela Organização das Nações Unidas (ONU) como uma das 25 melhores práticas a nível mundial, desenvolvidas por instituições académicas.

Este Observatório foi desenvolvido pelo Center for Responsible Business & Leadership (CRB) da Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics, em parceria com o BPI Fundação “la Caixa” e com a Fundação Francisco Manuel dos Santos.

Vai ser apresentado no próximo dia 18 de setembro por Filipa Pires de Almeida, Diretora Adjunta do CRB, num evento promovido pelo United Nations Academic Impact.

The second session of the UCP4SUCCESS webinar cycle for professors: ‘Educating for Sustainability: Building Competences for Active Citizenship’, will take place on 22 January between 2pm and 3pm. 

In this webinar, Cristina Palmeirão will address the issue of sustainability and the role of education in developing essential competences for active citizenship.

The session aims to invite reflection on how teachers can integrate sustainable practices into curriculum, encouraging students to get involved with environmental and social issues. Innovative methodologies and good practices will be shared to inspire transformative education, capable of promoting a more conscious and responsible society.

Symposium: The SDGs in a Business Context

The Center for Responsible Business & Leadership at CATÓLICA-LISBON is organizing the 1st Research Symposium on Sustainable Development Goals in the Corporate Context, on June 1st, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

This conference aims to disseminate knowledge and share scientific research on the SDGs and business science. 

It is an opportunity for researchers residing in Portugal to share their studies and knowledge on the application of SDGs in the business context and to discuss ways to contribute to a more competitive and sustainable business sector and the advancement of science on sustainable development.
 

Submissions of research projects/abstracts of scientific work in development will be open soon.

Só 25% das PME sabem como atuar na sustentabilidade

Quase 79% das grandes empresas estão já a operacionalizar os objetivos de desenvolvimento sustentável (ODS) da Agenda 2030 das Nações Unidas, mas, nas pequenas e médias, que são a esmagadora maioria do tecido empresarial nacional, só 25,9% têm essa capacidade. A falta de conhecimento sobre o tema e sobre como operacionalizar estas metas e a incapacidade de entenderem como é que a sustentabilidade lhes vai melhorar o negócio são as grandes barreiras.

Os dados são do 2.º Relatório Anual do Observatório dos Objetivos Desenvolvimento Sustentável nas empresas portuguesas, uma iniciativa do Center for Responsible Business & Leadership (CRB) da Católica-Lisbon, que hoje é apresentado. Realizado em parceria com a Fundação BPI "La Caixa" e a Fundação Francisco Manuel dos Santos, o estudo auscultou 169 empresas, das quais 108 pequenas e médias e 61 grandes, para avaliar, pelo segundo ano consecutivo, como estão a implementar os 17 objetivos sustentáveis da Agenda 2030.

UCP4SUCCESS Webinar: How to Promote Active Learning with 1st Year Undergraduate Students?

UCP4SUCCESS has launched a new Cycle of Webinars, especially aimed at professors who teach 1st year undergraduates.

The first session is entitled: ‘How to Promote Active Learning with 1st Year Undergraduates? Strategies for a Promising Start’ and will take place on 11 December between 2pm and 3pm. 

In this webinar, Rita Tavares, from CLIL | Católica Learning Innovation Lab, will discuss the concept of Active Learning in a continuum, and what this implies for the student, helping professors maximise the success of learning in students' academic lives.

It will also analyse the characteristics of the ‘ideal student’ and present strategies for a promising start, with a focus on pedagogical practices that favour success from the first steps in higher education.
