The Faculty of Law - Lisbon School of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa is organising the Católica Talks on 20 June at 12.45 p.m. on the theme "Abuse of Law", presented by Gonçalo Almeida Ribeiro (FD-UCP) followed by a commentary by Elsa Vaz de Sequeira (FD-UCP).

The fifth session of the seminar "Citizenship, democracy and reformism" will take place on April 13 at 6 p.m., as part of the research project "The process of modernization of social protection in Portugal (1968-1976): ruptures and permanences".

The session will be attended by André Luís Costa.

The seminar takes place in a face-to-face format and online.

The Colloquium "ReliMM - Religion in Multiple Modernities" is an annual meeting that brings together researchers who study religion and religions in the context of multiple modernities, with a view to contributing to an interdisciplinary approximation of those who share this research problematic, facilitating the creation of contexts of network circulation and cooperation.

The UCP-CEHR is the co-organising institution of this event which takes place from 22 to 23 June.

The Centre for the Study of Religious History organises, within the Conference Cycle "Representations of Judaism in Art, History and Literature", the conference "The Jews of the 18th Century. Two Case Studies: the Lisbon Earthquake and the Seven Years' War", given by Shmuel Feiner (Bar Ilan University, Israel), on 5 June, 5.30 p.m.

Organized in partnership with the Alberto Benveniste Chair in Sephardic Studies at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon, the conference will take place in both face-to-face and virtual mode.

The Faculty of Law - Lisbon School of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) is hosting the presentation of MEP Paulo Rangel's latest book, "Elementos de Política Constitucional - Ciência Política, Teoria da Constituição e Direito Constitucional" (Elements of Constitutional Politics - Political Science, Constitutional Theory and Constitutional Law).

With the presence of the author and the President of the Republic, Professor Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, who will present the book, the launch event will take place on 8 November, starting at 7pm, in the D. António Ribeiro Auditorium, on UCP's Lisbon campus.
