Students' Association of UCP's Lisbon Nursing School organises information session on Military Nursing
The Students' Association of the Lisbon Nursing School of Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) organised a lecture on the subject of Military Nursing.
The event was attended by military nurses from the General Staff of the Armed Forces representing the Directorate of Military Health and the Armed Forces Hospital, the Directorate of Health of the Navy, the Army and the Air Force, offering a comprehensive overview of military health and its various professional opportunities for final-year nursing students.
Also present were military personnel from the Navy Recruiting Corps.
The main aim of the lecture was to introduce future nurses to the particularities and challenges of a career in Military Nursing, as well as opening doors to career opportunities for final-year students. This event was a unique opportunity for students to better understand the performance of nurses in the military context and the specific demands of this career.
The Students' Association's initiative, supported by the School of Nursing's Management, demonstrates an ongoing commitment to diversifying and enriching the training of future nurses, providing them with a broad vision of the various areas in which the profession operates. This event highlights the importance of preparation and comprehensive training to meet the challenges of the labour market and society's diverse health needs.
