Pope nominates Donatella Abignente consultant to the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith

Pope Francis nominated Donatella Abignente as a consultant to the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith on 28 September.

Donatella Abignente, professor emeritus at the Pontifical Theological Faculty of Southern Italy - San Luigi Section in Naples, has published several books, including two translations, ‘Discern to Decide’ and ‘Theology after Veritatis Gaudium in the Mediterranean Context’, the latter published by Universidade Católica Editora, Lisbon 2019.

In April 2023, Donatella Abignente took part in the conference ‘Vivere per fare vivere: futuro umano e bene comune’, as part of the Post-Doctoral programme: Integral Human Development at CADOS (Catholic Doctoral School).
