Chess Tournament at the João Paulo II University Library

The João Paulo II University Library, in partnership with the Chess Academy of Portugal (AXP), announces a Chess Tournament to be held on Saturday 19 October 2024, from 9.30am to 1pm.

The Chess Tournament is open to the entire academic community, including teachers, students and employees of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP), as well as the external community, giving everyone the opportunity to take part, regardless of their level of expertise.

Before the Tournament, there will be one or two free workshops, exclusively for the UCP community, which will take place on Thursday 17th October, led by the President of AXP - Dr Carlos Carneiro. Participation in the workshops requires compulsory enrolment and the time will be set based on feedback from those enrolled.

Participation in the tournament is free for the UCP academic community. For external participants, registration will cost €7. The workshop will be conducted in Portuguese.
